What is Ancestral Veneration?
Ancestral Veneration is the root of our
connection to our ancestors.
At its core, ancestral veneration is the intentional practice of honoring, remembering, and communicating with those who came before you. It is not "worship" in a religious sense, but rather a relationship. It is the recognition that you are the living embodiment of thousands of years of survival, wisdom, and love. In the Hoodoo and Honey tradition, we view this as a personal anchor—a way to ground your modern life in the strength of your lineage.
Who Can Practice It?
Anyone can practice and build a relationship with their ancestors. One of the most important pillars of this school is that you are welcome regardless of your religious beliefs. Whether you are secular, spiritual, or belong to a specific faith, your ancestors belong to you. You do not need a special "gift" to begin; you only need your intuition and a sincere heart. I recommend that everyone joining Hoodoo and Honey take our 14 day Shadow Work deep dive before they begin any veneration work. It's very important to work towards clearing the subconsciour or any "static" so that they can have grounding and clarity during this process.
